1883 O VAM 22A
Since I can't search through some of my past posts, on the old Vamworld, I thought I would post some of my most ,memorable finds on the new Vamworld, so I don't have to go to the bank to enjoy looking at them.
Here are some pictures of my 1883 O VAM 22A clashed E, in a nice grade.
Finding this nice example, is especially meaningful to me, because just before being lucky enough to spot it, Nate had helped me, with some valuable die markers information, to look for on this vam.
Enjoy, Bert

Morganman,
Is there a yearly price guide that gets put out? Or just tracking the sold prices from HA and eBay etc?
I know PCGS has a price guide with some of them listed, but are those real-time aggregates?
It's coming...

Re: 1883 O VAM 22A
Hey Bert, Very nice. I spent much of the last two years trying to cherry one from the BIN Bay to no avail. I have several raw copies that I have not yet photographed. I had a run about five years ago where I got extremely lucky. I am hanging on to them. Loren

This one turned out to be a bit more abundant over the last several years but luckily not as abundant as the other pairing. I was lucky to receive an NGC 45 example for a very reasonable price...

Very similar to the 1891 o VAM 3a1 and 3a2.. An R7 that became fairly easily to locate in lower grades.... but the high grade ones are something to hang onto.

Yep!, The 22A is common now in my opinion! 5 years ago they started to decline in price from what they use to be.

Re: 1883 O VAM 22A
I still awaken in a sweat in the middle of the night wincing about the one that got away. Vendor in Tennessee as I recall. Sorry to bring it up. As you know, in that spirit, I recently paid up 3-5X for a false positive. Sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug. Loren
