Awesome! I dont know if I would have bought it for the price on a gamble being that one could barely make out one little part of the gouge that could have been toning interruption or light reflection etc.. He really did lead you to that one for sure. Nothing short of Amazing !!

Wow! Nothing to seem to amaze me here! We had people die for this country that don't get this much respect! My father went through WWII, Korean, and Nam war! retired in 1968 with 28 years of service. I think people here ought to be ashamed of themselves to put others in front of them!!

What the ?!.. That post is utterly and completely uncalled for Jimmy. Most Americans, and most if not all, here do have the highest respect for those that defend and die for our country. But we are talking about someone who we knew personally that was a fellow VAM brother who unexpectedly died at a very young age. Your comparison is so ludicrous I almost cant believe I read what I just read. Extreemy uncalled for bro, to put it mildly.

Jimmy, opinions are usually best kept to yourself, unless you are asked. I do not recall asking for yours.
Your comments on my post WAS uncalled for.
If you have a problem with me, pm me and we will see if we can work it out.
NOTHING that was said took anything away from ANY veteran, and surely not disrespectful of anyone.
I too had a father in the service and a son who came home disabled.

John,
Sorry for stepping in on your post!! ( I will get with you later) I just don't see why we keep beating that horse in the ground on the JAVLIN coin. Does that coin make vamming more Amazing then others? Is it more Awesome then Norm's coin's or Old Boats coins? I just don't get insight of what is being put out here? Why do you keep bringing something up that should be just left alone. Have Respect and you shall get Respect!

I did not personally know either of these people. I did Nate, he came to be like a son to me and it was an honor to find a coin that he discovered. I'm sorry you have a problem with this. It is your problem not mine. Get over it.

I believe I have located another one of your late friend's discoveries.

The gentleman that introduced me to VAM'ing linked me a new coin store he had purchased a Morgan from and told me to browse their wares a couple weeks ago. I found a 1900-O 23D2 in his shop and it's yours if you want me to buy it for you. I had no idea the significance of it...

I feel like it was meant to be located for you. There's no way something comes competely full circle like this randomly. He taught me about VAM'ing 8 months ago... and now I see your post... and he randomly points me to a store that has one of your friends coins after this topic was posted.

I'm not deeply religious, but i said a prayer after that... I feel like your friend wanted you to have this...

Jimmy (crapscape),
I had found this VERY COOL vam, that Nate had discovered and was excited to post it, with the pictures below, on the old VW message board, 'A Tribute To Nate', because I felt very sad hearing, about his death, at such a young age and got nothing but positive replies.
Nate was very generous, with helping many members learn more about vams, including me.
I don't think you should confuse remembering Nate, with other subjects, like our brave service men, which I am a veteran myself.
I'm glad you didn't 'rain in' on my post, with comparing it to some other topic, like you did here.
It is like reading the news paper, you will not agree, with everything.
If you don't agree, with something, just read on, until you find something you like and agree with.
Just take a deep breath and relax Jimmy, everyone goes overboard, once and a while.
My two cents, Bert
