The 1894-S VAM-1A (Worm Eye) . With over 45 scratches/gouges (most on a Morgan dollar obverse die)it is the die gouge king of Morgans.

Do J.R.'s annual lists count as lists?
When in doubt... don't.

Speaking of 94-s VAM-1A.. Recently picked up this beauty.

Here's a couple favorites:

1880 VAM-48 huge gouge, have only seen 1 in 10+ years
1889 VAM-19B2 - awesome clashes letters pop off the coin

I was more thinking 100,50,40, WoW,etc... but whatever is acceptable! :) I just wanted to see some others that are not normally discussed. Good ones so far everyone!

1878p V140 Die 1 and V140A. Very under rated because of the V116/A/B/C being on the Hit List 40 even though they all have the same obverse.

I'll throw Pollock-1723 into the mix. It doesn't even have a VAM number, but is in the book. One of my favorite memories was watching Leroy look at my example.

My favorite is my first ever discovery: 1895-S VAM 1A back in 2004.

Total SSDC population is still just 12, which includes details coins, and XF45 is still the highest grade.
When in doubt... don't.

I'm with JR on this one . Any VAM collector would love having a Morgan Pattern Dollar. It should be right at the top of the list for anyone interested in the Morgan silver dollars.

1900-S VAM-3A - Find one. Or perhaps I should say, find the one imaged in the VAM phonebook to get it delisted.

Ummm, hey Russ, the Squirrel and the WOW! VAMs would like a word with you about the Sketti wing...

I'm fully on board with the 1898-O VAM-20. Also agree that the 78-S v1i deserves more recognition for what it represents.
I go totally NUTS for WOW! VAMs!! Or is that from WOW! VAMs?

1898-O VAM-13A. (The double "t" and triple L+R Rev version.)

[edit] I want to change my vote (or cheat and vote twice): 1878 VAM-40A :D
