Still enjoying the hunt...Picked this 1921s VAM 1B4A for just under 17 bucks and postage off the bay last week

you would think the 1887 series would be all mined out. Not true.
New dies are being found frequently.
Never give up.

Every time someone post one of these it gets me all thorny and I just have to go look at some coin porn to try to find one!

Seriously though, I love hunting the 1B's. They're fun and they can typically be seen on the Ebay thumbnail pics when scrolling so you don't have to open every 21s listing..

This post is great- it validates the available picks, especially on auction sites
pickers new or old can blow up auction pics as well as browse and double ck attrib
I personally enyoy this more than going to shows- looking at coins with a loupe etc
theres tons of Morgans/Vams to go a pickin online- thank you god for this great venue
Goes to show why much of numismatics has gone online- Look at heritage etc- huge huge
online success and here to stay.
One does not have to deal with pissed off dealers who are worried about making enough at
the show to pay expenses. Sad but all to true- poor BM shops are facing same debacle
Go online or die is a sad scenerio today. I have many dealer friends & online is a necessity for
many to survive. IMHO- YRS AGO BM shops and shows were the only way to succeed- but like
current mj dispenseries - what becomes everyones business becomes nobodys business.

Im very sad and frustrated about numismatic marketing today- as it let companies like
heritage etc rape the poor collectors/investors IMHO
