Poor me...

Post by VamHelsing » Sun Jan 20, 2019 12:04 am

My eyes will probably not survive the 900+ Morgan and Peace $ I bought today,
off the market for 50+ years and never searched for VAMs.... Wish me luck!

Also included were 2 original rolls of MS 83-O's.. look to be 2 different VAMs in them.
1 roll = 61-62, the other roll, 63-64... for $25 each.. :D

2 VAMs per roll sounds about right for an "original" roll, by which I mean a roll made from coins bought from the Treasury in the 60s.

I certainly like/love the 1882 o/s vam 4EDS Hope its uncleaned? estimate grade??

Buying Bulk; I accidentally fell into bulk purchases in 1968. A local dairyman had 2500 uncirc
Morgans, I worked for him as well as cash to get those coins. I was hooked and
driving my 1952 $200 chev truck home after work one evening, it hit me that this was
the way to acquire Coins, rather than through dealers etc. I advertized in papers within
200 miles and all hell broke loose. I borrowed from my lawyer neighbor as i didnt have
enough money. Withot that 1st accidental purchase i would not even be close to the
numbers of morgans held in " The Oregon Collection"

Congrads on your bulk buy- its fun- its daunting- its the cheapest way to acquire,
and the upside finds are fantastic. The best of pickin 101.

Chris, I can't match it to any of the listed WR's. Sending it to JB
along with some other ones for bulk submission.
