Made it back from FUN
It's a shock to go from 60's and palm trees to snow, but I'm back in Ohio. The FUN show was great and I got to rub elbows with a great many people. Some of it has already been posted, but I'd like to thank everyone that attended my presentation and VAM Thing afterwards. Well, almost everyone - somehow I got stuck with the foul and tacky bottle of cologne from the blackmail auction.
I'll post my 12 for 2019 list in a separate thread tomorrow and add it to our page here, but the set is already live in the SSDC Registry with a couple of sets working.
I did buy several dollars at the show, mostly they were already attributed.
1926-S VAM 3F in a Redfield red holder. Crazy polishing on the reverse and underappreciated
1922-D VAM 4 Top 50 PCGS 62
1880 VAM 57 PCGS 53
1883-O VAM 33A ICG 65 Probably going to send this to Leroy for revision based on a theory I'm floating.
1889-O VAM 1A2 PCGS F15
1901-S VAM 10 NGC AU 55 Was on my list a couple of years back, finally got one
1901-O VAM 45 raw with a fair amount of arm twisting
and for my finale, I ran into a 78-CC GSA soft pack AU 50ish with a VAM 19B. Previously unknown is GSA. My set just got even harder to catch.

WOW! King'O'Clash... NICE!
Awesome for you to find the 19B as well! ...If only there were a respectable grading company that could certify her for ya...

I go totally NUTS for WOW! VAMs!! Or is that from WOW! VAMs?
Re: Made it back from FUN
You suck on the 19B find.. congrats
Re: Made it back from FUN
In addition to $200/night hotel rooms, the possibility of getting stuck with that thing for a 3rd time takes some of the edge off my disappointment at not attending FUN this year.

When in doubt... don't.
Re: Made it back from FUN
Someone got the hot pickles too.
Re: Made it back from FUN
Woof'n Doc and Lu Lu's dill pickles!...

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my.........Ahh........Uhmm........something, something, something.....

Re: Made it back from FUN
I was sharing them with whomever wanted one on Saturday afternoon. Two "best pickles ever" comments. They were really good.

Re: Made it back from FUN
I hated to give up that 1901o v45. It was the nicest one I have found.
Re: Made it back from FUN
Yeah, and it took some persuading. At least it went to a good home.
