Just picked on Heritage
Just won this coin on HA tonight. First time I've picked one in MS. Had to pay up big time for my PCGS MS62. Looks like others missed this one. Only 8 in graded MS at PCGS, with 4 graded higher. Only 5 MS at NGC and just 3 higher.

Please show some close ups the die markers.

Stunning coin. I was thrilled to find an AU58 in my original lot from the 1970s - this find blows that one away.
Re: Just picked on Heritage
Beautiful!! Congrats!! I just missed one of these on the bay the other day, was busy at end of auction!

@bhinkle Like Tekkie1 thinks, I think it's 115. Tripled blossoms etc.

Thanks jodemyer,
You guys have better eyes, than I do.
I can't see the tripled leaves, in that picture.
I would like to find one for my collection.
GREAT find!

VAM 115! Very nice pick Mark!!
Re: Just picked on Heritage
Hey Bert, yes it's a VAM-115. Left the VAM out to make the post more interesting.

The main markers would be the doubled Liberty and line in the top of T in Liberty. Also the leaves and cap doubling and tripling. On the reverse the hub defect above the arrow feathers.

Thanks for the comments!
Re: Just picked on Heritage
I recall that when the Top 100 came out, this was unknown in Mint State, only 2 or 3 AUs were known, and it was considered among the highest rarity in all grades. Well, it is difficult to attribute and pick in VF and below without other markers, admittedly. Times have changed and UNC have been found, but not many in the quarter-century of the Top 100 (Really! it has been THAT long.). Still a treasure. These were obviously released into commerce with few escaping a little wear.

Re: Just picked on Heritage
You're totally fine. It was time for the VAM to be identified.
