1898-O V15 obv with normal and slight right tilt O mm?

Convinced this is a VAM-15 obverse based on the date placement (normal, but almost near), the characteristic doubling of the 1 and a fairly similar doubling seen on the second 8:

but the MM is not high to my eye and and, if anything, seems slightly tilted right, overlapping more with the VAM-8 or VAM-27:

If it is high it seems to align more with VAM-12 than 15...

Is this just a straight VAM-15 as I can't see the mm placement of the listed coin very well but it does look high?

Here's the FCO and FCR for the full pictures:

Not sure what VAM you have. I’ll leave that to the experts.
But I will say that the mm photo you posted does show a high mm.
Also, of the VAM options you mentioned, I think VAM-27 can be ruled out due to location.

Thanks, @ljs123. I believe it'll be a straight VAM-15 if the mm is designated as 'high' but it certainly doesn't appear as high as the other ones with that moniker.

Tough part about vamming - vams are based on descriptions, not die combinations... yet many a vam has been put as a sub variety based on clear die paring differences (that just happen to coincide with the general description).

Looking forward to hearing the more experienced takes on this.

I will show you why I say that your mm is high.
The red line is placed on your photo.
