So clearly I don't belong on Mount Olympus or Olympus Mons. But I will always be the crusher of hopes and dreams.
In that vein, I now have to question the validity of the VAM 95 listing. How does this vary from the other master die doubling we see on 21's? I'd challenge anyone to find a mint state 21 paired with a D1 reverse (that's not LDS mush) that DOESN'T show tripled and/or quad spread virtually identical to this. I got several of these listed myself before I noted the issue

There are many 1921-Ps whose attributions are based upon the characteristics of stars, or written descriptions only, or finger feed gouges, or displaced field break judgement calls, or "two fer" discoveries that presume the existence of something, that I question the validity of.
And as long as I'm whining, I will mention a closely related personal sore spot: there are 33 different VAMs required in the 1921-P date set whose registered populations at SSDC are all zero.
When in doubt... don't.

And the verdict is ..... guilty. I did this one and got it wrong. If you ever want it fixed, just toss it in with an order and note that I said this one was a freebie.
May I suggest leaving this coin 'as is'. It would fill a huge hole in my collection of NAOH's.

on my wishlist.
"As many collectors as people" maybe?

The coin itself is a VAMworld rarity in it's own right. DH better watch out that some men in violin cases may pull up and do a "Godfather" buy back option.

Oh my, hell is starting to freeze over. Well, I will have to take him off Mount Olympus Mons and demote him to Mount Everest.
I remember JR attributing this coin! He texted me at around 4:30 that afternoon and said "The kidney transplant went great this morning, thanks for asking. Then when I got back to my desk at around 11:30 (stopped for lunch after being discharged), there was an order from Dennis sitting here and he wants me to attribute a stinking 21-P VAM-1! The docs said these painkillers would likely cause hallucinations, but I didn't think they were giving them to Dennis!!"
I go totally NUTS for WOW! VAMs!! Or is that from WOW! VAMs?

Would a special pedigree option be possible? Something like "J.R. Do-Over Limited Edition"?
or "Crushed The Crusher"?

This is lower than JR getting a VAM wrong. That I will eventually get over.

Is that paper/tape acidic? Watch out for that stuff.

...learning the hard way for me

A sheet of paper was left in this Franklin Half Dollar collection causing damage to coins. Paper and tape can damage plastic if given enough time.
