Pcgs vams sold

As many of you know that I have retired my pcgs vam sets.
I spent probably 20 years putting together all the sets I had.
Have bought and sold with a lot of nice vam people all over the US.
Did lunches in St Louis and Kansas City with great bunch of guys.
Was at FUN SHOW once and had great time with guys there.
My late wife always supported my hobby.
She liked to look at them as much as I did.
I talked with Andy and chose to sell him my vams.
Hated to part with them but at 79 years old they got to go someday.
Told Andy that I hoped he enjoyed them as much as I did.
I wish him luck and know he will enjoy them.

Thanks to all vam people I have met, bought and sold coins with in the last 20 years.

Congrats to both of you. I have had the pleasure of sitting down to a soda and a piece of pie with Larry several times in the past. It was always amazing to see what he brought along to further my VAM/coin collecting education. A big thank you to you Larry! Hope we get the opportunity to visit again in the future.

sweet after 57 yrs collecting/inves
Due to my collections unprecendete
size, the selling task is daunting/
total overwhelming.
Cutting a deal with heritage is makin
about 1000% easier & much more

I still feel like a neophyte to the community yet have felt a warmth here (fortunately) unlike many other parts of life (unfortunately).

Andy is lucky as are we all because this feed-forward kindness is one of the best ways for us to eventually help the world. One coin and one relationship build at a time?

Yes you had some beautiful sets . I was wondering what happened when I saw some of your
sets registrys retired at PCGS ,and saw some of Andys sets go way up !! But Cool you can pass the tourch on some coins that where Cherished in your Great Collection !!!
And These coins will be appreciated by the stewards of the coins . Your Collections are what I asspire to assemble !! As well as Andys !!! Maybe one day I will assemble a collection as Awesome as yours !!

Larry, thanks for all the memories. I remember the two 89-P VAM-23a's being passed around the table in St. Charles and one of them falling into a glass of tea! Somebody had a conniption fit! You were always willing to share and best of luck with whatever comes next!!

Selling can be rather arduous when you have an enormous accumulation. I started with thousands of slabbed (mainly) Morgan VAMs in late 2004. Figured I would sell them out in a few years. I am now down to a under couple double-row boxes. Not easy and definitely was not profitable overall. Some did very well, basically the super rare prooflikes.

But now I have a ton of Trade dollars and Dan Carr overstrikes that I will need to move at some point. Sticking with early dollar varieties. Hope you and the others who are or have sold down will find some fun niche in numismatics to keep having some fun. Those potty dollars are starting to grow on me though. Stop me before I kil....buy again!

Very nice collection of coins that anyone would be proud to own! Many of which you picked yourself!!! I have enjoyed chasing you on the PCGS sets. It is my understanding that you were instrumental in getting PCGS to recognize the 1921 S Thorn-Head set. The 1B7 that I bought from you was a very special coin that will be almost impossible for me to upgrade. Thanks for all that you have done to advance the hobby of coin collecting.
