Profoundly stupid attribution oops
I recently saw these two coins for sale and was stunned that so obvious a VAM could be SO misattributed. (Notice the identical coin numbers 133917.)

I hope you snagged that second one Dennis!
I go totally NUTS for WOW! VAMs!! Or is that from WOW! VAMs?
Re: Profoundly stupid attribution oops
That's a pretty obvious one. Someone clicked on the wrong coin ID and the right people didn't check it after it was holdered.

As a Scar face is that one H-9 or H-10?
Re: Profoundly stupid attribution oops
H-10 I think. The crack appears to go all the way down into the hair.

Re: Profoundly stupid attribution oops
C'mon folks... as I said in the first post, I saw these coins in auctions. That's all. The Scarface was being sold as a Scarface ($$$), despite the holder attribution.
There was no part of my post that even suggested a cherrypick, it was SOLELY to point out labeling stupidity at PCGS, and I was amazed to watch it spin out of control.

that one ranks up there with the 1878 v44 in an ngc au53 holder marked vam 41a, that went for $85.00
