I'm not an eBay person but decided to go on and visit 'thedadz' and now I know why I don't commonly go onto eBay... because I get easily confused.

Am I reading this correctly that the 1887-S VAM-2 ANACS 62 is $549.99 when the SSDC guide puts it at $205? (This would be cool because my PCGS 64 might be worth a hell of a lot now...)

The 1887-O VAM-5B NGC 61 is $1000 when the SSDC guide puts it at $90.

The 1882-O VAM-7 ANACS 63 at $225 is off the SSDC guide of $90. (I'd make quite the profit on my PGCG 63 if this is true...)

The 78P VAM-203 at $520 is above but not too far off the SSDC guide at $475, and the 89-O VAM-1A2 PCGS 12 at $600 is spot on the guide so not everything appears disjointed.

Sorry for this but am I THAT far off somehow?

my prices are based off of 3 things. The 2015 price guide, the 2022 price guide and finally actual sales numbers I can get/ find. I have had MANY sales at or near my asking price. Some of my items may NEVER sell, I don't care. If you want to buy- great! If you don't- great! Move along, nothing for you here...kenny

Wow. Is this how you treat all your customers (or potential ones) who have sincere questions? I appreciate the first and clairifying part of your response - prices have, indeed, changed over time and actual sales figures should be factored in for sure. Glad to hear confirmation I wasn't reading things incorrectly.

The last part of your answer speaks volumes about some other issue that I can't comment on, yet that helps me in my decision to ever buy from you. I'm glad others can see your response, too, to help them in their decisions.

I must admit it's heartening to see those "WOW List" tagged VAMs seem to be bringing a bit of a premium! :D
Disheartening to see what the Oval Os seem to bring... :shock:

Also, Keilg1, read your post again, it seems a bit combative at the start. To help, keep this in mind, the SSDC price guide was arranged BEFORE the general coin market got its big boost a couple years ago, so most of the prices are out of whack. Check the SSDC for pricing on , say and 89-O or 88-S, then compare it to an up-to-date price guide's "common" 89-O or 88-S and you'll see what I mean...
I go totally NUTS for WOW! VAMs!! Or is that from WOW! VAMs?
