O/T April 2022 Commodity Mkts

 Few regular folks realize about 60
commodities make up the largest
dollar volumne trading worldwide,
about 10x the Stock Mkt, which is truly
hard to fathom. Amazingly traders
range from Central Banks, Huge mega
funds, processors/middle men, etc
all the way down to Individual Large &
Small Traders.

Astuit/smart trades are executed with
a pre planned risk/reward scenerio
using Hedges & Stops to minimize loss
and profit stops to exit mkts.

April Metals; March sell offs/profit
takings, saw technical chart indicators
test 50/200 day moving avgs tested,
only to see massive Buyers enter mkts
from sidelines, developing a very strong
base both technical & fundamentally.

Easter evening trading sees Gold trying
the $2k test & Silver $26, of which both
are huge mkt resistance/overhead
levels, that if maintained could propel
mkts much higher. Mkt bulls clearly
in charge.

Bank Americas huge silver purchase
is unprecidented and being watched
closely by HSBC Bank & JP Morgan
Chase, to see how that acquisition
goes, so they can do similiar.
This all should be a major wake up
call for mkt, signaling future direction
& price rises.

Worldwide the Ukraine mess underpins
metals mkts and more, with no end
in near sight.IMHO=All this a no brainer
So currently it appears the stage is set
for larger/more volatile mkt conditions
for metals.

So gold/silver tried major resistence levels
at $2000 & $26 only to completely fall apart
with gold losing $75 oz to $1923 and silver $23
& change, exactly as both have done several
times in Mar/Apr
Technical indicators look terrible, so the mess
continues with silver a terrible non performer

I am watching my short position Puts
of which i will sellout & take profits if the
decline continues. Thank God for ability to
Hedge physical position with Options or
Futures.

Dealers are now charging around a $5
premium for 100 oz sil bars which seems
absorbant /leaving one to think theres more
to just a profit story here. Sure not a premium
im willing to pay.

UPDATE: Today Mon May 16

In about 3 weeks time Gold has lost about $180 per oz in value, hitting just
under $1800 per oz, a 3 1/2 month low, before rebounding about $30+ dollars

Silver is terribly cheap and briefly dropped below $21 a few nights ago and
now follows golds rebound to just below $22 per oz.

Analysing this mess over weekend i decided to sell out my Silver options puts
if mkt turned positive, as mkt oversold and ready for correction,
This early AM i sold my hedges in options taking a huge profit and bought
into Exchange traded Fund (GLD) with profits. 1/2 into GLD ETF & 1/2 into
physical kilo 32.15 oz gold bars. I like the diversification as paying the crazy
broker premium for physical gold upsets me terribly.

What a windfall trade, profiting in a declining mkt, then using profits to secure
more free investment. Im super excited & thankful i understand mkts and
Hedging protection. FUN FUN stuff

β€œWatch out on the wheat.”

The US is having its own problems with food. The processing plants seem to catch fire at an unprecedented rate lately. Fertilizer has become hard to get, and I expect the Mid-West will have a poor growing climate this year.
India has just announced that they will severely restrict their exports of wheat.
Russia could restrict their exports of wheat just as easily as they can oil and rare metals.
Ukraine has a history of using food as a weapon.

I'd rather do other things, but I'm planting a garden.

Where's the ice cream..... was at local Wal Mart, never have seen anything like it. With the exception of a few boxes of novelty bars, the entire ice cream section was empty. About 80 running feet of freezer shelves completely empty.......
