Re: 1899 O VAM 11A, Partial Tiltled Collar, Broadstruck?
That is a pretty nice, bold example as far as railroad rims go. But its isn't broadstruck. By their very nature a tilted partial collar (railroad rim) was struck.. partially in the collar.. so not broadstruck.

Thanks, I'm definetly no expert, that's why I put ? after broadstruck. I saw a tilted partial collar on a coin with no offset/ difference in shape. So what would the actual techincal term be for this?

I guess: tilted partial collar (railroad rim)?? Really no idea. I'm really not an expert. Good luck.
Re: 1899 O VAM 11A, Partial Tiltled Collar, Broadstruck?
I think you can have both if part of the coin was completely out of the collar.CascadeChris wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 6:24 pmThat is a pretty nice, bold example as far as railroad rims go. it's either broadstruck(struck outside of the collar), or partial collar.
