Re: Ebuyer Beware!
@dave700x Holy Crap is right. I didn't think they could do that. I sold 1,000's of items on ebay years ago, not coins. No way ebay would remove anything someone wrote.. So what do people have to go by?? It's almost like ebay is making too much money on this seller to allow anything to screw it up..
Re: Ebuyer Beware!
This seller has no less than 25 Morgans direct from the 40 thieves web site for sale and more than that in his sold items. He really needs to be shut down....
And yeah, I heard you could get negative feedback removed by filing a protest to ebay, but wow, how do you ignore the feedback that PCGS said it was a counterfeit....

Yes, he could do it or NSS-52. I'll tag the link onto the thread I started to shut down Chinese sellers hacking accounts.

Re: Ebuyer Beware!
Just to update you all... there are some discussions going on off VAMWorld about the raw items listed by eBay seller bergerassetmanagement :
https://www.ebay.com/sch/bergerassetman ... ksid=p3692
Do the raw coins look similar in appearance? Yes. Are the coins grainy? Yes. Do many of the Dollars have zero obverse and reverse details? Yes. Are the coins cleaned, polished and/or whizzed? Yes. Are the coins counterfeit? Now that is the $64 question.
Has anyone attempted to attribute the 1889-CC, 1895-O and/or any of the other Morgans? I tried. The details are lacking. I am sure there are some more qualified VAMers than me monitoring this thread. If anyone tries or has tried to attribute any of the Dollars, can they please send me a private email with the results.
Just trying to do the right thing here. Thanks... David

@djf-coins
Ebay # 223656707262 & 223657016939 Both are a 1895 O
How do you polish off the deepest parts of the details? Both coins have a cast or grainy surfaces. Both coins are missing MUCH details. A person only needs to look at a genuine Morgan to see the difference. How do you polish different coins from different dates & mints and get exactly the same look across the board?
I think you answered several of your own questions.
Do the raw coins look similar in appearance? Yes.
Are the coins grainy? Yes.
Do many of the Dollars have zero obverse and reverse details? Yes.
Are the coins cleaned, polished and/or whizzed? Yes. ...... No, the coins do not show signs of being polished or whizzed.
Are the coins counterfeit? ........ Yes
Has anyone attempted to attribute the 1889-CC, 1895-O and/or any of the other Morgans? You can't Vam a counterfeit.
(except the micro O's)
I tried. The details are lacking. That should be the first clue to a counterfeit. Have you seen other common date Morgan's with this type of strike problem? Have you seen other common date Morgan's polished/cleaned/whizzed that have the same look?

Re: Ebuyer Beware!
How do you polish a coin like this and not have smooth shiny surfaces and details remaining in the lower areas?
Wouldn't polishing remove the grainy/pitted look?
Maybe if.....and that is a very big MAYBE .... if you sandblased it after it was polished.
Would you buy it as genuine if it came across your table on the coin show floor?

Re: Ebuyer Beware!
Date is slanted, should be level on a genuine coin.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1916-D-Mercury ... 1438.l2649
Raised bumps on left reverse field and shape of D mint mark.

Re: Ebuyer Beware!
The 78-s Vam 26 in PCGS 45 sold be NNC on sept 13
WASN’T a 26, it was a Vam 57 LDS
I had sent a note to them as soon as Northern Nevada put it up
But they didn’t pull it
The VW person should send it back to them.
