I guess my thought on contacting an unaware seller (one who is not listing multiples of counterfeits ) is to try to educate on what to look for. But if that is perceived as a lost cause, I'll just ignore bad listings going forward.....

There is no harm in contacting a seller. It's up to the seller on whether they wish to educate and find the truth. Who knows, their coin may just be genuine(but, I doubt it)!... :lol:

Most recent post was for an 1899. Coin shown was a 1921 reverse.

Our good friends at NGC at their best! Not only is this a 3f3, as opposed to their "3f1" label, but they labeled it "VAM-3f1 Pitted Reverse" anyone see an issue here?

There is a 1878 S Vam 60 in a NGC 20 holder on eBay.
It is a miss attributed Vam 57 DS1 not a Vam 60.
So, NGC pop report of Vam 60’s was just cut In half.
Cert # 4737164-010.
Just in case anyone is questioning

Auction title says PCGS.
Holder is actually something called PCS.

Auction title says 1885-CC.
Coin is actually 1885-O.

Holder says Uncirculated.
Coin looks to maybe be cleaned XF.


He's changed the title to say 1885-O and PCS, but he sticking to Uncirculated.
When in doubt... don't.
