Is this a fake?

Post by DHalladay » Mon Jul 08, 2019 10:08 pm

Date looks mushy and ill-formed, and the centers look unnaturally rough.

I say fake, the date is a dead giveaway in my opinion.... wonder if the holder is bad is as well?

@DHalladay @lured_in_again

Cert# matches date and grade at PCGS
My gut says this is fake as the item does not match the grade
Not sure about the size and font shape of the PCGS and Grade on the holder

I bought an 1889-CC that was fake and also slabbed (fake slab as well). Pretty sure it came from China.

Looks like the winning bidder knew it was fake and already left negative feedback.

Interesting. The seller swears it is good. So what happens next?
