I see one of the larger auction houses offering a VAM that was not correctly attributed.
It it considered a courtesy to inform them of the error, or should I just keep quite and let it be between the house and the buyer?
Thanks for any input.

Re: Auction Protocals
I think if the auction house made the attribution, then it makes sense to contact them about their error. Most of the time, though, the TPG that slabbed the coin made the error. In that case, the auction house is simply reporting the incorrect information printed on the label and contacting the auction house won't likely do much.
Re: Auction Protocals
I always contact the auction house if I'm sure it is wrong. I've done it multiple times. They've always been responsive and appreciative.
When in doubt... don't.
Re: Auction Protocals
Thank you both for your insights.
I ask because I have, in the past, notified one of the most noted auction houses of a mis-attribution on the holder, and was treated with such regard that I felt as though I hadn't spent enough money with them to have my opinion considered. Despite my documentation.
This is a different auction house, and I believe that they should receive notification of the error on holder.
Thanks again, and it is good to have trusted friends to help me make decisions.

I am pleased to report that Ian Russell, President of GreatCollections took charge of the problem, and resolved it in a manner that should make all parties happy.
