Time to Speculate ? / Hard Assets-Coins-Bullion

Post by morganman » Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:45 am

With all the crap going on in the world-fiat currency craziness- inflation- rising interest rates
Impending real estate mkt softening- 20+ yr U S dollar highs along with absurd fuel, food, goods,
services & much much more. Folks cant afford to take a sunday drive much less take family out
to dinner or heaven forbid a movie theater.

Central Banks Worldwide have and continue to add to their gold positions which itself should
beckon a huge wake up call for us all. Big money is betting on Hard Assets such as BULLION
for a hedge against inflation and tougher times to come.
Expert financial advisors are warning clients to refrain from additional debit and lessen the
debit already incurred. These warnings point to future financial survival as we transition into
un chartered times/under water, so to speak.

Many with money left LOL, are taking advantage of a price pullbacks in bullion & securing
both physical bullion & paper assets such as ETF funds like gold ETF =GLD or Silver ETF=SLV
Baby boomers like myself buy into a impending disaster much more readily than the younger
millinials, simply due to longer lifetime exposure/experiences.

Sure feels like a no brainer to protect our assets and asses using some instrument of liquid
CASH value, assuridly if we need help going forward financially. I look at silver for example
at say $21 oz. A run to just $30 gives a return of about 45% which is quite nice if achieved
within a reasonable timeframe. Maybe folks should look at stuff like this instead of buying
fancy cars & living beyond their means.

Coins have also held up well during covid etc and will most likely continue to do well,
especially if bullion prices gain as expected. Just be sure to own coins that are salable
with good mkt liquidity. Currently Vams probally dont fit into liquidty scenerio in general.
But Common & better date Morgans are always salable

Anyway just a member prospectus from a hoarder /investor/speculator/collector with
experiences that have worked well for me over time in my lifetime. LOL

Regards; Scott

Scott, I appreciate your insights, maybe because they reinforce my beliefs.
There are reasons why metals, and especially silver, should be bringing much more, and as an investor and not a short term speculator, I can use the artificially depressed market to continue stacking.
Even when I had a ridiculously bad job, I would buy a Morgan on payday, often for about $4. I still have them, and they are easier to care for than livestock.
Please continue the commentaries.

Brother, this is just ONE of the many reasons I hope discussions with you never end... Keeping the humor (or humour as I guess I should spell it) helps keep life so much more enjoyable...

Admittingly, It is very hard/frustrating to see Silver prices virtually cheaper than dirt
and seemingly going almost nowhere in price. The one commodity of some
50 + that has not had a price run yet. Every fundamental points to a huge
impending price escalation, so patience is super warrented IMHO.

IF one buys into the Governments take on economy etc then i guess Bullion
is set for more price struggles, which Central Banks & Big Corporate players
want the public to believe, so they can continue to scarf up on cheap Gold
and precious metals, evidenced by their continued monthly/quarterly purchases.
Wow, Fed debit reaches like 31 Trillion (with a T) Craziness, just interest on 31 T
is un fathionabe.

interesting how our beloved Morgans will fare on a decent silver run.
Just say silver $75 equates to Morgan junk dollars around $60 , or double
previous highs. This not counting Numismatic values which would really
increase we hope. Strange times, hard to figure!!

Overall most goods have doubled in price, so expecting large gains in metals
seems realistic IMHO LOL. Maybe bitching about Silver price will bring out
" The Silver Fairy" syndrome LOL

I have continued posting O/T about Bullion & markets, as it seems many have exited this
site,, with fewer and fewer posts IMHO. Sadly as vam prices have cooled over last few yrs
less people hung in here.

As i dont feel qualified to post much on actual Morgan issues on main board, i feel at least
i can contribute here on Bullion mkts and some stories etc, that may get some members
thinking a bit outside the box,, which is funner anyway LOL.

i truly believe our Morgans, Numismatic items, Bullion will wake up to their heyday of escalated
values/pricing, as the shit really hits the fan globally and especially U S. When the general public
refuses to continue to allow the Gov to print more (not free) money and continue their unsustainable
actions, including outright lies to general public on state of our economy and etc.

I really enjoy trying to read up on issues and become more informed on the real truth of
particular matters. This all serves one quite well, in various decisions taken just to freakin survive all
this Gov crap etc

How about prices escalation absurity= Oregon gas $5.25-550 LA up to $7 Loaf Bread $5
A family is super screwed, so whats next? A depression? Forclosures rampant, We all better
get our acts together and ready for much tougher times ahead. IMHO
OPINIONS are like Assholes - Everyone has one- Some are just Bigger than others!!!! LOL LOL
Seems my opinion above is shared by many well informed Gurus etc
Read more and make your own decisions, but dont just take the beauracrats words for truths

Heres to Independance & Free Thinking
