2021 Submission #4 is in QA, a.k.a. submission purgatory.

JB
FYI
I mailed 13 coins your way today for the 2022 January new PCGS submission. I think you need to start a new thread for this year.

Wow that was pretty quick actually.
Was there any real interesting vams ? Or have you looked at them yet?

Same here! A couple nice surprises on grades, and a few duds....
Re: 2021 VSS/PCGS Bulk Submission #4 Closed
I sent in 20 (all 1921-Ps of course). Eighteen graded. Just 2 rejects is great, because I was worried about 3.
The 20 were in two groups: 5 AUs (that's where the 3 worries were) and 15 MS. The AUs are coming back 55-55-58-NG-NG. All 5 were went in because they would have been new additions for my 1921-P date set. But between then and now I found 3 of them in PCGS-63 holders, including (luckily) both of the coins that no-graded.
Of the 15 MS coins, one was bought raw and 14 were crack-and-dips from certified holders to get rid of toning I couldn't stand – 2 ANACS, 2 NGC, 10 PCGS. Four of the crack-and-dips were MS62, ten were MS63. This is where my huge eagerness to get them back in hand and see what changed comes in (I kept notes about key nicks, etc. to make attribution do-overs easy). No way to know where the raw coin sorted out, but the 15 MS are coming back as:
AU58 (1)
MS61 (1)
MS62 (5)
MS63 (5)
MS64 (3)
So it looks like I lost a few total grade points, but having 14 more coins I don't mind looking at makes it worthwhile.
