Did a little research... the highest listed grade in SSDC for 1891 S is a VAM 3.1 in 66, the 67+ looks to be VAM 5C of which the top pop. listed in SSDC is MS 65. Maybe we start a list and it can be added to by those who collect specific date/mm combos..... or perhaps just a waste of time....... LOL

I know we can look in SSCD list and see the highest grade by VAM number for each individual listing. Would be interesting to see a VAM list created of the top graded coin by date/mm, not just those listed / owned by SSDC members (there is a list for best of each date/mm in SSDC for Morgans and Peace...

Visited a shop earlier today and picked a few out of the Morgan pile. One happened to be 1921 d VAM 1BG. Neat break across Liberty's neck. The R in trust very light. Thanks to the die crack guide, was easy to find the VAM

Has happened twice to me in past year or so. In trying to upgrade my 91o set, the seller didn't get me, the grading company did.... looked in photos like it was what it was listed as, but closer inspection proved to be another VAM.

But I take most Ebay personal seller grading with a grain of salt.... BU = beat up?

Maybe I am thinking of a different auction site, but I was thinking it was Ebay that planned to offer a (you pay for it) service to get their opinions of grade, counterfeit, etc. on listings on their site. ??
