Most VAMs aren't rare, thus the premiums aren't valid. Top graded coins will always attract a market. MS64DMPL VAM-43 happens to be fairly common and if not in a PCGS holder no one will pay a premium.

Will the registry be updated soon as well? Will the current 140.2s be automatically moved to 147 or will we need to go in and update?

Yes good luck finding a no-crack; no polish 80; Uber rare IMO; problem is it’s easy to find a VAM 80 attribution on a holder. SO most 80s are really 80Bs; and they are really common and often PL. The sequence goes 80-80B-80A; LDS 80As with blobs of metal at T of UNITED are tough to come by but yes ...

LOL.. the PCGS site was showing 50 days for regular grading orders just a day or two ago.. Tomorrow is day 50 for my regular order. I went to check the turn around times and it's now 65 days!! Was hoping for my grades next week but looks like I can add 3 more weeks.

This will just be for fun. Might not actually get as far as racing against other people but want to have a bit of fun before I'm too old to be able to enjoy.

PCGS is a smoldering turd of a company. If it wasn't for their registry I would never use their services.

I won the 1878 MS65 DMPL NGC MS65 VAM-170. I remember when this coin was found and posted on the old VW site (Rick Snow?). Probably saw this coin the very first day is was listed on Heritage almost 3 months ago. It was a long wait that finally ended yesterday. I think I paid a fair price though.

Updating, I have now acquired all 1878 C reverses except the 228.4.

I could also use a 230.1 that will grade since mine is in a details holder.

Would still love to find a VAM-188 in MS!

There were two scarce 1878 R79 VAMs that ended on HA tonight. Someone slam dunked on me and got one of them even with a pretty strong bid. I got the one I had to have though. I've had some great picks this year.. but this one is my favorite. New top pop in the SSDC as well. First time I've seen one ...
