Reading thru all this, it looks like someone found matching markers between the Die 1 and Die 3 reverses. I'd want to see all three dies side by side to confirm or kill the listings. I've got an example sitting on my desk in a virtually identical stage. I just see typical clashmarks without any hint of letter transfer. I added a comment to the VAM 5 page about some examples having clashmarks with no letter transfer

79 Phillies represent the deep end of the pool. Very few listings present easy answers. The date is riddled with multiple dies that have remarkably similar features. Unless you can capture images of some die markers you're going to get nowhere with this one.

Reading over this page a couple of times will save you a considerable amount of personal aggravation.
