I ask because I have, in the past, notified one of the most noted auction houses of a mis-attribution on the holder, and was treated with such regard that I felt as though I hadn't spent enough money with them to have my opinion considered. Despite my documentation....

I see one of the larger auction houses offering a VAM that was not correctly attributed.
It it considered a courtesy to inform them of the error, or should I just keep quite and let it be between the house and the buyer?

Now I can tell people that I know a movie star.

As it is difficult for me to attend coin shows, I have to identify VAMs from photographs.
Unlike in-hand examination, I may not see the listable features.
So I often rely on die markers.
My first guess is that your coin may be the VAM-2A.
Enclosed are some die markers, let us know if they are a match.
