Re: Mark Kimpton Collection at Stack's/Bowers
Yet another example of Morgans being sold from well known holdings Very little to nothing ever reported of a set or partial being sold, which really makes one question the values reflected by PCGS & Etc. Its grosely overvalued IMHO and serves individual igos mainly. Expensive EGO'S LOL Personally i ...

Re: Bullion Markets Update
Dec 5 Update: A review of the under workings of the metals markets. A tried and true gauge of strength or weakness in metals, is directly tied to the U S Dollar index, which carries the most weight for determining metals mkts direction. So to put recent U S DOLLAR moves into prospective we need to a...

Re: I don't usually talk smack...
I did not follow that auction so can not comment on particulars. I have been a 1878 s vam 50 fan for yrs, scarfing em up when available They to have fallen in price but i truly believe a special vam/lava wing that will always command a decent premium. Sure makes one take notice when Mint State examp...

Super cool pick- Congrads i never got into 78-s LN Morgans as many are ugly and i went for flash like most Americans I ended up with a huge LN Collection from all my thousands of raw purchases over 58 yrs. Have not bothered to even grade any of them. Guess i need to wake up and get em graded & attri...

Re: Bullion Markets Update
Fri dec 2, Very volatile trade session in metals. Gold had around $5,000 trade range per contract with silver closing well over $23, propelled by weak dollar but sellers appeared early due to strength from employment figures. Personally im loving this setup as my Call options really jumped in equity...

Bullion Markets Update
END Nov 22/ into DEC Markets weak due to options expirations and U S Dollar re gaining some from recent sell off to around $106, which is still a very lofty level. Silver just hovering above $21 after hitting $22 ++ In retrospect, a very boring nothing mkt, however the silver drop from $22.40 to $21...

1891 O Vam 1A3
So pissed off that vams 3A1 & 3A2 have fallen off cliff in value, I began collecting 1A2 & 1A3 as still decent premiums. Buying a few from auction sites, natrually mostly 1A2, I knew i had to eventually start checking my inventory. With it raining i figured today, Sunday a good day to start. The lon...

Collector's East Coast vs West Coast
All this mostly IMHO, except verified by several large coin dealers from both Coasts. Over many yrs collecting, interfacing with many collector's and dealers it is very apparent that people from each distinct areas, East coast vs West coast think and act very differently. East coast coin folk tend t...
