Re: OT, a Bunnies riddle.

I can't figure this out, but I'd swear this will boil down to one or two coins minted in Philadelphia. Think buffalo nickel or silver eagle - each side has a head in portrait perspective. Only one head, eye and ear are showing on each side. I just can't find the coin(s) that fit this. Look at the f...

OT, a Bunnies riddle.

What was made in the city of brotherly love? It was made in MCMXCVII In today's time you could not go very far with it. It has two heads, two ears and two eyes. The heads never look at each other. A song was written about it in MCMXXX. Both heads was dealing in a major crisis that they never seen fi...

I have lost a roll of my raw low ball Top 100 coins. It also had a lowball 1879 S Rev 78 VAM 34B. If found you can have any coin in Rodent's WOW set.

I guess my coin would be a 14.21 eight tail. Still looking to find it.

Re: Crackin’ Slabs & Resubmitting Stories

I have an abundance of stories. I have learned some really valuable lessons. Some are: 4. You will almost certainly do better on average grade wise if you have your coins graded at the tier they belong. For instance, don't send a 14.19 in for economy grading. Ash My 14.19 when I sent it in, I put a...

Re: Crackin’ Slabs & Resubmitting Stories

Before I got into VAM's and had my Unc. set. I would use two coins as bait. They where PQ coins and today would be considered a double plus. Also the price was ten fold if they went up a grade. I would crack them out and send in them in with my upgrade coin. Nine out of ten times it worked. Last one...

PCGS grades in

Homerun 1880 P sent in as a plain Jane, MS61. Got it off Ebay $70.00.
Grand slam, 1976 S Ike silver, graded AG3. Paid 5 bucks and carried it for several years in my pocket.
But I made a deal and have to give it to it's new owner free of charge.
Rodent is drooling over the silver Ike.

Well, almost everyone - somehow I got stuck with the foul and tacky bottle of cologne from the blackmail auction.
Keep it open on your desk and maybe it will evaporate, or ward off evil sprits.

Re: Goals for 2019

Hmmm, well gee golly gosh, I think I'll try something new this year and see if I can track down a 1921-S VAM-29a once... wonder how that'll go? Outside of that I guess I'd like to have a little higher quantity of fresh picked acorns this year. Outside of VAMs what I'd like to do in 2019 is take mos...

Rodent, I have your 21S 29A, worn it slick so it will grade a zero, just like your set is worth.
