New 1923S VAM 1G2
1923S VAM 1G2 – Obv II 1 – Polished T. Reverse B2a – S tilted right. Same reverse die as VAM 5 Discovery coin NGC 61 4815235-009 Die sequence – VAM 1G > VAM 1G2 > VAM 5. Just wanted to bring this near the top, I will list this one assuming I can get adequate photos of displacement across the break.

Re: Obscure third party grading question
Not likely that the grade is correct, but "on occasion even a blind squirrel finds an acorn". Hence, buy the coin & not the holder.

Re: Peace 1923 D VAM 1X2, There's More!
Keep on looking, there are still good coins out there!
I like 1923D as most of the listed VAMs are due to die breaks, making attribution fairly straightforward.

Re: Updated Peace clashing with letter transfer info?
Add to the list - 1924 VAM 8B E on reverse behind eagle's neck & shoulder, similar to VAMs 1D & 1BB. 1926S VAM 1AF with partial E on obverse (from ONE) left of and slightly above Liberty's forehead. I see a partial E in on 1923S VAM 3B (same position as 1926S VAM 1AF), but Leroy didn't agree. Photo ...

Nice LDS reverse. I will need to look at my 1923S coins & files to see if it is already listed.

Re: Peace dollar VAM 4?
Not a VAM 4. I see minor doubling in the middle prong of the designer's initial, not on the digits of the date, WE or TR. To my knowledge, it is not listed, and from what I see, it is too minor to list.
Hope this is helpful.

Re: 1924 VAM 1R, something in 4 of date
The spot on the wing is useful for attribution, It appears to be a retained gas bubble, which, to me, is what the area on 4 of date appears to be (being a planchet error). If someone finds a duplicate, then it would be a neat die variety.

Re: 1924 VAM 1R, something in 4 of date
From the photo on the VAMworld page, I am not convinced that you have a VAM 1R, although it could be a later die state than the discovery coin. I do not a VAM 1R, so I cannot compare a coin with your photos. If whomever has the discovery coin would chime in here, it would be most helpful. The spot o...

Re: value on peace
Welcome back DOM!! I am still working full time also, and have several which are under consideration for listing, including some here on other threads.
There are still good cons out there, and still quite a bit or work left to be done with Peace dollars.

Re: Need Some DarkSide Help on this 23 S Please
I have this coin, not currently listed. I can see some displacement across the die break, especially at the left edge of neck. Before I give it a listing, I want to be able to get adequate photos demonstrating the die crack & displacement. I have identified over 200 die marriages for 1923S, so it wi...

I have one, I don't need to see yours unless there is something unusual or different from photos already posted.
As I had said above, I have over 100 1922 Peace dollars w/ B1 reverse, & only found one of these.

Re: Help with 1922-D VAM designation
This reverse die is the EDS of VAM 20A, in which the obverse die of VAM 2P was replaced with one w/ a doubled die. All VAM 2P's have this die crack on reverse.

New listing - 1922 VAM 1AJ
This is followup of a thread posted by shortnock, here are more photos. There is very slight displacement across the die crack above IN, but not enough to warrant a separate listing. I would appreciate help in starting the page & transferring the photos. 1922 uVAM 1zAJ K8 b.jpg 1922 uVAM 1zAJ IB.jpg...
