Re: Moving Sale II, Low Balls, Counterfeits,Keys and Slabbed!!!!

The 1921-P VAM 14A designation was eliminated, apparently in 2017, but then expanded to 14A1, 14A2, and 14B. The current attribution page for 14A1 has a photo showing a partially/mostly filled R in TRUST, with a caption saying, "at least one example of this variety shows a grease-filled "r" in "Trus...

Re: I stepped up for this 'pick

John:
This 53 is nicer than I could have hoped for, buying sight unseen and all. It looks like a bunch of raw coins that got sold as "B.U." that I saw a couple of years ago that someone got royally hosed on. It also cost less than half of what you almost bid.

I stepped up for this 'pick

Just got an 1892-S in PCGS AU53 that... well, AU-anything for that date is expensive. But things get very carried away above that. Seller's pixs didn't show how VERY lustrous the coin is (what a relief!), but they were good enough for me to see this:

Re: 1878 VAM 14.11

Welcome to the mayhem! 14.11 is one of the truly "Wow! You have one of those?!" VAMs. They are seldom offered for sale in any grade and are always expensive. That said, the VAM market has softened a lot since the Great Recession. And as one who helped produce the old VAMview price guides, I would ur...

Re: Want List Vams

I have an O/S VAM 4 EDS in PCGS AU50, but those things are crazy scarce and the price would be painful.

email me at westdairy2@aol.com if you're interested.

All I have to compare your coin with is 1921-Ps that have pitting on the face, and in that context yours looks very insignificant.
