Re: Reputability of SEGS & PCI?
The reputation of both is very poor with PCI outta business to my knowledge and Segs owner very involved/smart but overgraded and will put a details coins in regular holders from timeto time. PCI was terrible in the day, but got much better towards the end, simply due to competition and collectors d...

Re: Guess the Grade, 1921 Peace PCGS Unattributed VAM 1H
MY Grading Ego is very happy- although not a Darksider Fan, my thoughts on this one were pretty dead zuke on. That hair smashing/weakness really killed her. My au50 being only 1 grade higher is close enough for old duffer like me. over many yrs and countless coins, it gets easier to be fairly close,...

Dwn by feet show extreme weakness/smashing like Struck thru Grease ...

Heritage conducting VAM AUCTION SALES
Heritage now conducting periodic VAM auctions, of which they also recognize Attributions by John Baumgardt ie: PCGS-NGC-ANACS aoh by stickered reverse per VSS Seems they are really working to provide Vams decent exposure and so far prices received seem decent. No reserves can be set but their buyer ...

For Newbies: Beware of coins graded in Various slabs with irreputable names
Seems Fleabay is full of coins from Non Reputable and Self Slabbed coins Buyer Beware as these coins are not slabbed or graded by a Top/reputable TPG I see many bringing to much money for what they actually are Numistrust slabs are one such example PCGS-NGC-ANACS-ICG are the 4 TPG to stay with & in ...

Crooks, committing these type of crimes are likely to continue, as cons
see these crimes as easy and not in limelight of authorities.
Surprised inept NGC was onto this one, as their idiots otherwise IMHO

Re: Gold Indian/ O/T
The retail guide i use is Numismedia. com A NGC guide with best reputation PCGS/NGC graded coins = Take 20% off retail= Wholesale ANACS = 30% Numismedia $10 indian 1910 S au50= $1310 retail i dont think S/S carries any premium & if truly S/S/S who knows but my best guess is not much if any premium.

over many yrs i have noticed the TPG services seem to allow Rim Dings,
some quite large/obvious, into regular holders, withot killing them with
ungradable or details grade. Seems wierd to me as its a damage

Re: I'M A BUYER LOOKING FOR UPTICK IN METALS MKTS
Mid Feb 2023 Update: Metals mkts continue to struggle in terribly oversold conditions, as U S dollar gains strength then falls yet again, struggling to find short term direction in a already downtrending direction. Statements from Fed on interest rates also apply pressure. No new dramatic news eithe...

Depositing the Check is the funnest of all, as it makes real assholes of the naysayers that serve only to provide negative undertones here. I am working on selling 2 - $5 indians 1911 D in ms65- bought in 80's. A few yrs ago retail sheets showed $250k or so, Now up 100k at $350/360k its a nice time ...

Re: 1889 O with Rotated Reverse, Guess the grade!
For several yrs Lowball Morgans have brought premiums as collectors bought into the hype of a niche mkt. Similiar to huge premiums on some toned/rainbo Morgans. A niche is just that a small faction of collectors that develop a apetite for such craziness, that rarely is sustainable A testiment to col...
