You have that correct. Usually happens on Dennis' 21 photos, and that is real, not a cut. For some reason his photos, sometimes, makes my brain wacko. But he does take great photos.
I remember back when @DHalladay used to take LFCP's. :) They are some of the best.

HI G , not sure if I'm qualified to make that call . I will have to look at your coin tonight, when not tied up . Duty calls ... quick question , what are the reverses you put on the last page . like what vam numbers? . Right one looks like the Hamilton coin , What is the other one? Yes, the image ...

Re: legitamate question about VW 1880-O Vam 2 page

UNCLE BINGO I think I am having a similar experience with the 1921-S thornhead pg. photos that you are having with the 1880-O Vam-2 photos. Please take a look and compare these two well known Thornheads. They are the same Vam and are pictured on the same page in the catalog. I really concentrated o...

Re: legitamate question about VW 1880-O Vam 2 page

Thank you for setting me straight. UNCLE BINGO I apologize for my assumption. I do not even own the big book, yet. Onward, This photo is of the two Reverses you are comparing? ( I hope I have it right.) 1880-O campare.jpg (I will fill in above photo discription *here*) (Better photos of the above.) ...

Re: Interesting Seated Obstruction Error

I can't put my finger on it, but something about this piece bothers me. I'd suggest matching it to a listed marriage before sending it out. http://www.lsccweb.org/BillBugertBooks/Bugert-Vol-IV-NO-Part2.pdf Wow! That is studied coin. Most interesting thread... an added plus. I gleaned some insight i...

Thank you John and RWB.

...Yes, compared to a coin without a lamination error. I am thinking a lot of a lamination error is hidden; kind of like an iceberg.

Re: Found a neat way to measure relief with a ping test and spectrograph

You can infer relative differences, but not absolute. Now, if you could develop this test so that Vampires need only "ping" a coin to determine its variety -- then you'd really have something or should that be "someping?" :D I am downloading the Linux version as we speak. Interesting! Thanks for sh...

Who could have ever guessed that I would be spending my time looking for a Vanilla Plain Jane in a parking lot? Collecting Vam knowledge is a great sport. :)

Re: 02-P near date with collar clash 3-4 O'clock

Thanks for the informative thread. Please correct me if I am wrong. If keilg1 can locate a LFCP of the 1902-P Vam-2 Obverse, the coin he has pictured above will be a New Discovery Coin? Sounds good to me, but I have made some assumptions. The coin pictured above (FCO) is indeed a 1902-P Vam-2 Leonar...

Re: 1922 D Peace dollar which VAM

Thank you very much for your help ! How rare is it and how to value it ? Welcome Bibibam , I may have misled you with my "nice coin" comment. I don't mean it is not a nice coin, but rather I should have said, "Nice coin to me. As for "how rare it is", and the "Value", they have a link for that here...

Regardless of its size, the collar clash would be added to the existing listing as a note unless a specimen without one can be found.
Thank you, John

Would the http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compu ... llar_Clash page need update also?

Note unlisted collar clash below PEACE .

Looks like that collar clash could make 60 degrees of circumference required. Nice coin!
