Re: 1884 0 / cc
that vam 6 look much more like a o/cc than the vam 10. when vamsterdam posted it i looked at the o/o on that page and wow. i know it isn't one but if that inner part of the mm wore down, shoo wee. picked a v10 this week. not a big deal but i was happy to find an unc even if the bullion is making pur...

Re: Key Date CC Cast Counterfeits
a good coin to post. it is above average for what i'm used to seeing.
they mess up the reverses and use obv of 21 with earlier dates.
i'd give this a 4.5-5 out of 10 for the public being able to detect it.
almost thought it may have just been whizzed a bit.

Re: 1881-S VAM-1B vs VAM-67
I see on the pages that there is a question about the two subject VAMs possibly sharing the same reverse die. Looks like JR has seen VAM-67 coins both with (LDS) and without the chip in eagle's wing. fwiw, a quick mm comparison shows they cannot be the same reverse die (not even possible). so long ...

Re: Morgan 1921-S VAM-1BF
I tried to make this thing into a 21-P D2 reverse Kissov, if it helps. 21-s morgans can be identified as such by the overall look of the obv alone and a glance at the reverse usually confirms (even without a mintmark.) i say this to encourage you in the future that you can tell a 21-s the vast majo...

hmm. i just can't get there that the head and beak are clashed that far apart. i'll need an overlay or another explanation. thanks for the responses and efforts so far.

Re: i have seen some odd things on morgans but this is near the top - 89p 38a
thanks for the responses and help. i'm not sure i can quite understand what the jawline "clash" is. i have some speculations but that is all they are. i'll provide what i see and perhaps you can help me across the bridge. tia edited to add, a bigger version can be opened in a new tab or d/l. not sur...

the page says something about clashed eagle's head. does that refer to this unusual "clashing"?

Re: 1923 Unlisted Die Break?
Is this an unlisted die break or not a listable feature? It is not listed as a die break variety. Could this break be a diagnostic in another '23 VAM that I am just not finding? came across this and thought of your coin. don't see them often listed with neck break and nothing else but it does happe...

Re: 1923 peace Vam? doesn't seem to be listed can anyone help ?
while all peace dollars are vams, i can say to a 99% certainty, there are no known listed peace vams with a feature(s) like that. lines are just too straight and clean. something like that, if it were a coin attribute would be more along the lines of an error, not a vam. the lettering is 2 different...
