1888 Struck Thru? Updated

At first glance I assumed this to be a bag chatter coin - reeding damage. But upon closer look, I think it might be struck thru something.... not certain what. Welcome opinions. http://www.grandrapidscoins.com/images/Desktop/2021/February/18881.jpg http://www.grandrapidscoins.com/images/Desktop/2021...

Help with this 1904-O

Have four of these from a roll... can't identify it and could use help from the experts. Note particularly the rim above IBUS... what causes this? http://www.grandrapidscoins.com/images/Desktop/2021/February/1904o1.jpg http://www.grandrapidscoins.com/images/Desktop/2021/February/1904o2.jpg http://ww...

1921 "Mush" - strike? Post Mint Damage? Acid Treatment?

Welcome opinions on what is going on with this 1921 Morgan. Assume acid treatment but surface is relatively smooth. What do you think is going on here? http://www.grandrapidscoins.com/images/Desktop/2021/January/pjm1921mush1.jpg http://www.grandrapidscoins.com/images/Desktop/2021/January/pjm1921mush...

Lamination vs. cracked planchet?

I submitted this coin to PCGS and it came back as not gradeable due to cracked planchet. I then submitted to NGC for grading and they called it reverse lamination. I have to say when I first notice the coin, I called it lamination but curious why PCGS would say cracked planchet... or can they be the...

1923-S - Little to no rim?

Odd looking coin - looking for some opinions from the experts. Note that the rim is almost non-existent when looking at the obverse or reverse - planchet seems to simply curve away from field to reeding. Doesn't appear to have post mint damage but I need an explanation from the experts. http://www.m...

Picked this up with a lot of about 120 circulated Morgans. All others just common date coins.

Off-Center 1921-D or something else?

Take a look at this 1921-D that appears to be slightly off-center - note wider rim on lower obverse and upper reverse and note rim error on upper reverse. Assume this is an off-center strike but looking for confirmation from the experts. http://www.mullencoins.com/images/Desktop/2019/December/offcen...

Peeling Lamination - Not gradeable?

Submitted this to PCGS knowing it had peeling lamination but assuming is was a faulty planchet and therefore a mint error. PCGS would not holder the coin due to "Peeling Lamination". Mint error? 1922-D Reverse Radial Die break and much more - Helf with ID

Here are images of a 1922-D that I am having a hard time identifying. Most notable die break is a radial die break through the E of UNITED on the reverse. Many other die breaks as well. Anyone recognize this one? https://www.mullencoins.com/images/Desktop/2019/February/pjm1922dvamunknown0.jpg https:...

Re: OT - Trade Dollar 1877-S Small and Large S Varieties

I am not really a collector of Trade Dollars but as a dealer I do sell them. I just happened to notice two very different S mint marks on these two coin as I was preparing to list them.

OT - Trade Dollar 1877-S Small and Large S Varieties

I know this is a bit off topic but wanted to get the expert opinions of the VAMWorld members. Here are images or two 1877-S Trade Dollars - one a large "S" the other a small "S". Can't find anything about this in my research? Common or not? http://mullencoins.com/images/Desktop/2018/September/1877s1...
