Am I confused, or is this saying the VAM 1B4B has 2 different reverse dies - with and without the gouges (also the gouge extending from the bottom of left wing)

Recent addition to my Morgans, not exactly a pick, it was listed by the VAM (possibly by a regular from VAMWorld) but I liked it for the wear pattern. Seems to suggest possibly a tilted field not in the 1889o VAM 13a listing.

I'll check out my latest order back from ANACS. It has a couple of each graded 50 and 53. Maybe I can learn from those examples. My previous 4 orders had only 50, 55, and 58 in the AU grades, none in 53. thanks

Still looking for the elusive cud on the 1891 o VAM 8a.... this one showed up today, the crack makes its way to the denticles and the displacement is easily to see above the M. Aren't there a few other date/mm VAMs that are listed as cuds at this stage?

Just noting one of the current G.C. listings possibly has an incorrect VSS label on it... the 1891 o VAM 8a is stickered as 1890 o VAM 2a2 on reverse. Appears it and the 1890 o VAM 2a2 got the stickers mixed up.

Received my ANACS order today and was able to compare the above VAM 20a coin with several others in my order. Had several 1891 o coins that came back AU 53 and one that cam back AU 58. Just an opinion, but the 20A looks as nice as the 14a that came back in AU58. Guess that's why I am not a grader. A...
