Re: photos for 1883-O V25

Nice photos Your mm location looks different from the one on the 25 page. Interesting direction for the beak clash. I also have an 83-O with a beak clash. I think mine was attributed as a VAM-12. The chip on your neck looks a lot like the photo on the VAM-12 page. I wonder how many Ray has with a be...

Re: 35th PCGS labels

Speaking of 35th anniversary labels, i saw a 1922 “vam 2c” pcgs63 friday, except that it was a vam 5a2 in reality. And pcgs wants me to come and “meet the experts” to discuss their misattributions? Labels are nothing but a cheap marketing ploy. First strike, early strike, 4 1/2 anniversary, “joe bl...

Re: Heritage Auction Number 60207

@PacificWR
Wayne,
Don't forget the 1889 VAM-19B2 in the Redfield holder. It's a nice 19B2 that I know was Ron's.
He was really happy to get that one.

Re: Heritage Auction Number 60207

When I was looking through Heritage, I figured his coins were being sold.
Ron had a thing for the 19B2. I sold him my 19B2 in the Redfield holder.
If you want a 19B2, it’s a nice one.

Shoot... it is a D2. What a dorf I am.

That middle finger sure looks like a D1 to me.
It also looks like the wreath took a hit right where the 17th berry should be.
Could it be that the 17th berry is no more?

I haven’t had much time form VAMs in the last couple of months.
But the ONE crack makes me think of my 66A DC that I think is now an 86A?

Re: 1889 o VAM 1A2 Morgan

Mike, I recently made a move and I do not have my camera set up yet. So I will try my best to demonstrate the difference between a 1A1 and a 1A2 with the photos I have available. The first one is a crop from the 1A2 page. The red arrow points to the first clash that produced the 1A1. As you stated "...
