Re: 1900 S tripled S, Die Breaks Date
I took the full coin pics with Iphone. Have to break out gear to get better quality pics. Can do that but it would take a bit; all that is put up. See if attached enlargement works for you. Appreciate the time. On the reverse, the die cracks are much less pronounced. Going clockwise: Small crack alo...

1900 S tripled S, Die Breaks Date
Bought this because of interesting large number of die cracks, and perhaps breaks. S appears to be strongly doubled and perhaps tripled. Multiple cracks and/or breaks at date and along left stars. I did not see any other cataloged VAMs with these attributes. C3 Reverse. Is this submittable?

1891 VAM 2a
Double check me please. Does this one as early die state 1891 VAM 2a? Not much of a moustache - I did acetone swab it lightly to make sure it was not stain or dirt. Any clash is worn or not visible.

Re: 1896-P V6 or V29?
Thanks
I guess my question really revolves around this coin having indications of misplaced date below 96 on front, and misplaced letters below AR on reverse, and if that constitutes a different VAM? Other than that, it fits some version of VAM 6.

Re: 1896-P V6 or V29?
Just noted new VAM 6B, which seems like choice once figure out overlap with MPD question. As I was putting same coin in flip, I noticed on reverse what appears to be denticle placement of letters :| Is there such a thing as misplaced letter? Look between A and R in pic below. Sorry to compound quest...

1896-P V6 or V29?
Bought this coin because I liked the toning. It was however quite dirty so I carefully acetone swabbed it to get rid of some gunk and could ID it. Was debating between V6 (doubled top of 6) and V6a (clashed n) It is lightly clashed on reverse, and has the correct reverse with the die crack from wrea...

Re: 1880 P Reverse "E"
I swabbed it with acetone. No noticeable change. See new pic and markup below. I know its a long shot in light of no other clashes, and am prepared for a "no" answer, but I would always wonder if I did not ask. I don't think 50a works as there are no lips counterclash, reverse letter doubling, or ev...

1880 P Reverse "E"
I ran across this 1880 P and noted what appeared to be a partial "E" on the reverse, but the coin is not a 39a (no wreath break) and not a 33a (no scratch between E-D). Additionally the indication is located just a bit NW of where those are found. Coin is in rough shape, but I could not take my eye ...

1878 8tf VAM 17 Tripled Right Stars
The pics attached show several strongly tripled right stars on what otherwise fits other details of 1878 VAM 17. Does it just fall under existing VAM? Thanks

Re: 1896-O VAM 20?
Thanks so much for the thoughtful and detailed reply. Yes it has the slightly doubled lower lobe on the outside. I've noted the comment about "multiple pairings may exist" previously, but did not really understand it. I assumed when die parings were different than previously noted, that one would ha...

1896-O VAM 20?
I purchased a cleaned but otherwise decent 1896-O, and cannot attribute it. It's primary characteristics are: strongly doubled 1 under crossbar; near date (midway 2nd and 3rd denticles); O a smidge right and tilted right; and no thread impression at eyelid. Also it has apparent doubling inside the w...

Re: 1896-P Repunched 89 Digits?
Thanks. I went right past that because I went right to the normal date position sub-listing and checked each one of those. VAM 3 is under slanted date. I feel kind of foolish

1896-P Repunched 89 Digits?
I just picked up a nice uncirc 1896-P, mostly because it was a good price. While getting ready to "VAM" it, I noticed what appears to be remnants of repunched numbers in the lower parts of the 8 and 9. No VAM I noted has this combination that. Date is in normal position otherwise. There might be sli...

Re: 1884 O/O with E?
You are all really good. Thanks for the feedback. I kind of had my hopes up because the "ghost" of an E is generally the right angle and size, but I see what you say about position.
I can see some raised dots and will go with the 7a. Again thanks all.

Re: 1884 O/O with E?
Double clash over wing up towards "In", and double clash under chin. One stronger than the other but you can see both. Single visible impact by eagles right wing.

1884 O/O with E?
Can't find a good fit for this one yet in that it seems to combine some attributes of different VAMs. It has a double clash and I keep straining to see if there are letter transfers combined with re-punched mint mark. Otherwise it looks like V9 O/O Right While searching I can't get my eyes off what ...
