VAMWorld 2.0

Heritage Auctions was selling a 1878s VAM-59 once every 42 months, they are now considerably overdue. Collectors who own one or more are holding onto these coins, making it harder for people to complete these San Francisco Long Nock sets. Similar problems are playing out with VAM's 58, 60, 62 and 72.

Coin arrived, 4th star broken, any doubling in RIB likely due to PMD. Very sad day.

I credit much of my success rate in determining the correct attribution to imagination.

I have completed an extensive study of the coin's 4th right star by utilizing the seller's photographs, and have determined that said star is unbroken. The coin is in transit and I await it with gleeful anticipation. Thanking you all for your concern.

I don't do the double checking and assessment part of the deal, I leave that to ANACS and JR. Makes life easier, always get a fair grade, proper attribution and coins returned. Seems that 1878s has an abundance of Vams that are almost only available in such poor condition.

I have a growing collection of VAM-62's (getting close to ten), a result of this collection is that the VAM-62's are just as rare as the VAM-60's and VAM-72's.
