Pittsburgh ANA WFoM Roll Call
The ANA World's Fair of Money is in a week and a half (8th through the 12th). Thought I would ask who all is planning on attending. I am setting up there (Booth 1722/Select Rarities). Fogie is planning on helping at my table. Brian Raines is across from me a few aisles along the wall. ANACS will, of...

Re: Poll regarding TPG preferences
No preference as I am buying a coin, not a holder. If that coin meets my expectations in grade, cost, and variety/stage, then it doesn't matter whose plastic it is in. It's no secret that PCGS is best for market liquidity for most coins. Certification is preferred in cases where authenticity is a bi...

Very big shock when I heard it. Never really knew him personally, but could not miss the name and have been in the same room with him many times. Big loss. The kind of guy we need all the time in this hobby.

WTG, Roger! You definitely earned it. There is no question you should get that award. The only question is what year you should get it. You have a good history unveiling the detailed history.

Funny thing. I went to register it (which I obviously should have done in the first place) and it was already registered as a VAM-3HA1 (on 28 May of this year).

This one is driving me nuts. It looks very familiar, but I cannot (so far) figure out if it is listed.

One can now also click on the VAM number on the table to pop up another tab or window with the individual pop report on that VAM. That is about as fully-featured as we need.

Re: 1878 VAM 1 EDS
Nice! I don't know that I'd separate circs from uncirculated non PL coins for statistical purposes. Showing the median and highest grade will give a better feeling of what's out there. I could pretty easily also add an overall median grade, disregarding prooflike and problem status. Might do it tom...

Re: 1878 VAM 1 EDS
Another good use also is in more quickly attributing prooflikes of a date. One would just look at where the PL and DMPL pop counts are on that date's report and check for them first. Statistically, that should add efficiency.

Re: 1878 VAM 1 EDS
For fun (sad measure of fun at 9:30 on a Friday night, LOL), I looked at the numbers of registrations per user. Below is the condition census. Fogie is catching up to me. (rp = reporting person, the registrant) +-------+-----------+ | n | rp | +-------+-----------+ | 12588 | coxejb | | 10944 | fogie...

Re: 1878 VAM 1 EDS
I am curious if an footnote code next to the vam # column would be useful for list coins that appear in the vam value guide ? like T1 for top 100 , W for WOW , k12 , H50, HL4 or maybe even just an asterisk code or even dots ... BUT .that might be too much typing , oh ye writer of code ... Any veter...
