Re: PCGS Frustration
PCGS Glam shot; yes this coin has been posted before (here) with my so so iPhone photo. I brought it to a FUN show several years ago in its native (regular) PCGS holder so some have seen it in hand, but now it’ll have the Error designation that I was wanting. I bought as a dropped letter many years ...

Re: PCGS Frustration
Progress; PCGS MS62 1878 dropped letter reverse dollar received 4/14 is on its way back; but it is now in an ERROR holder as I wanted!!
One more 4/14 submission to go…it’s trying to cross and get into an ERROR slab…

Progress!
Both remaining orders are in Encapsulation status!
BTW, took advantage of a slab error not noticed by the dealer; bought a ‘62 1878 V203 slabbed as Rev of 1878. That happens quite often IMO.

Re: O/T Taxman
Well did some more looking and it looks like state where I’ve had recent purchases sent (different from legal residence) DOES add 8%. Shame on me. Oh well. No more purchases sent there…

Re: O/T Taxman
So WHO reaps the reward of the extra $$ paid?? Especially when neither state requires, does the seller get a hidden profit?

O/T Taxman
Has something changed on eBay? My last two coin (not bullion) transactions have had sales tax added; in one case neither the dealer state nor the state being shipped to require sales tax on coins. The other case, the state of sale has 7%, but get charged 8%. State being shipped to does not require t...

Re: PCGS Frustration
I submitted 3 coins, separate orders; 4/14 process date. I got the 1st back in a little over 3 weeks; simple re-slab as the original rattler holder encountered the bank vault floor  Next was a PCGS graded and slabbed 1878 as MS 62 I wanted slabbed as an error due to a dropped letter on the reve...

Re: 1878-S Vam 1, 54, 61, 67 maybe 91, 85 and 94 need to be reviewed
So if the Fogie specimen of v85 is the Discovery coin, that should seal its fate . The SEGS 62PL V91 is registered in the SSDC registry so not lost. Thanks to Brian for reaching out to Larry. Maybe more info will be shed. Not sure how v1 can be reconciled; similar v2 is already gone… Progress is in ...
