Re: New SSDC Set for 1879-S B Reverse Sisters
well, see what i started? it all started with a reward to the first person who could find a new 1879s r 78 vam. i found the v34b, and then the v57, 58, 62, 65, 68, 74, 83, 86, 58 die 2, 104, 110. i picked a vam 89, but did not discover it, same for 16a, and 78. i still haven't found a reused v56 obv...

Re: Maybe OT - Coin Shows
i had thought of going to denver but considering all that i have been through in the last few months, i think i will take it easy. i killed myself last year doing 68 shows because my wife kept saying that i had to do more shows, more shows, more shows(for the last 5-6 years)! then she left me 3/25. ...

Re: OT - 2007 P GW$ Elongated Third Ray
So, RogerB , how would you explain the elongated ray , if not a deliberate alteration of a die? Much like the wisconson quarter extra leaf high and low? Just happened to be on wisconson quarters in the shape and position of leaves. Same gor the 1962 50c fs-901 d in bell? Very lightly punched d, poss...

Re: Help with 1886-P (Eight in Denticles)
i cannot accept random errant punches as an explanation for misplaced dates. there is an 1866 seated half with 2 digits (likely 6's in the base of the rock, 2 overlapped upper portions of 1's in the lower left shield, a 1 in the hand holding the pole, a 6 in the shield above liberty on the right sid...

Re: 1922-P 'eYe D'
i have both vam 17 and vam14. v14 doesn't get the respect that it ought. ii can't prove it yet,but i think vam 14(and maybe v17) are both type 2/type 1. no doubling of rays. doubling appears at lower left of branch where they start. , leaves are widely doubled, but again, no doubling of rays. not su...

Re: 1880 VAM 6, not VAM 8 Ears - Right?
this is sad, and no reason for it to happen. there is a 1878 vam "117" NGC63pl, or ngc64pl for sale that is a vam 141. i keep seeing it at the shows. and they(ngc) have the audacity to tell me that my coins that i sent in for attribution are either "too minor, or not varieties at all." so far, no on...

what a spectacular brockage! yes, for not rewriting and destroying history. learn from it, and move on accordingly.
