Nope, VAM 6 hit my annual list in 2012, while VAM 8 was on the 2019 list. A guy probably wouldn't go wrong with either or both.

It looks like it was struck in Carson City. I think this is from slop between the collar and the dies, but I don't know that for certain. Is the rim more pronounced than usual on the reverse?

Does it really matter if you catch anything or not?

Is the marker in the foot of the T of LIBERTY present? if it is, you're done. If not, then it's not VAM 66. The clashmarks are irrelevant to the listing itself, but can be helpful for comparisons. It looks like they are in the same location from the images of your coin and the discovery piece.
