Re: 1934-S question
I can't tell from the photo is this is die doubling, machine doubling, or an artifact in the photo. I am aware to 2 different DDOs in 1934S, the VAM 3 & another which is nearly identical to it, neither of these would be easy to attribute from a photo.
Hope this is helpful,
David

Re: 1924 VAM 1D? 8B?
Listing these in the order in which they were produced: VAM 8 > 8B > 8C > 8A > 8D. They are out of chronological order as the VAM 8A was listed before the die gouge in eye was recognized or the unpolished clash was discovered. Part of what makes VAM collecting fun!

VAM 8C. The VAM 8B did not last long before the clash was polished out.

Re: 1922-D VAM 8
This looks like a scratch on the coin, as it extends onto the rim. I will look at my VAM 8 to see if I can find anything in this area of the coin.

Re: 1925-P VAM-1H heavy polishing/cleaning
First of all, the coin is not a 1H, although is could be a later die state from the same die. My discovery coin does not have the vertical file lines below LL of DOLLAR. Your coin has polished clash marks on eagle's shoulder, but I do not recognize it. The lines on the obverse appear to be due to se...

By the time I got there Saturday, most of the inventory was gone. I was able to buy only 1 coin, although sales of regular coins was brisk.

Re: Covid Shots
I have recommended to my patients who are over age 65 and/or have medical problems to take the vaccine, as the virus will likely be worse. Those under age 40 w/o medical problems should probably not take it, as the risk of vaccine may be higher than the virus. Everyone is in in between. For treatmen...

At one time we all started as novices. Keep on looking and studying, and asking questions, then at some point you too will be considered an expert, and others will be learning from you. In the mean time, enjoy the search!

Re: 1926 S Peace Dollar
First of all, Welcome Aboard! In attributing your coin - the easiest marker appears to be the overpolished area between the headband with separation of the 2 most leftward rays. There are several 1926S VAMs with "shortened obverse rays"; the mintmark appears to be in a somewhat low position, so that...

Re: 1925 Peace I'm stumped
What I see on the obverse appears to be machine doubling. What is on the reverse appears to be a long die crack, but it does not appear to have any displacement. I don't recognize it as a listed VAM, & Leroy usually does not list die a crack w/o some displacement.
