1883-CC with unusual baggage behind the first 8
Looking for doubling in the date, I noticed something under the first 8 (inside upper loop and entire left side of 8) which appears to be raised metal...pitting perhaps? The upper inside and lower loops of the first 8 are doubled along the inside left but the photos unfortunately do not show the led...

Re: 1904-O with Clashed Obv G
Many thanks, gentlemen. I was only beginning to make my way through the links provided by ljs when Kurt's arrow came whizzing past and hit the bull's eye. I have confirmed all of those die markers.

1904-O with Clashed Obv G
No horizontal die polishing line below LA in DOLLAR. No doubling of F in OF or t in Trust in legend and motto. I saw a 28A for sale on eBay that had no horizontal die polishing line. Can it be a 28A without the die polishing line? There aren't many Obverse Clashed G 04-Os, but I can't find a fit for...

1882 VAM-29A
I am partial to clashed Morgans including this 1882 with a partial clashed e from We of reverse in hair lock to the right of designer's M. In addition to the e, there is truly amazing non-letter design element transfer on this coin. Finding the e in the hair lock wasn't easy but it does appear with ...

1934-P VAM-1A, Die Scratch Obverse
Anyone have an idea of what an MS 61 1934-P VAM-1A is worth?

Re: 1891-O VAM-14A?
Beyond a shadow of a doubt there is an "od" for sure above the date and a "G" peeking out from the neck. The "o" is exactly above the 1 where it ought to be. I can see a "W". The designer's M is clear as a bell, even on this old coin. Because incuse lettering occurs only on the obverse and in the fi...

1891-O VAM-14A?
My eyesight isn't getting any better, but my VAMagination is sharp as a tack. Found this clashed 1891-O. I'm thinking it's VAM-14A. If not, then what? BTW, I really, really liked and appreciated the superimposed photography on VAM-14A page which helped tremendously in knowing exactly where to look f...

Re: 1882 VAM-36A or something else?
Yes, I can see 29A. Thank you. Although, I am not seeing the lines in front of the eye. What of the n on the neck? Also, what am I seeing at rear of arrow shaft?

1882 VAM-36A or something else?
Lots of amazing clashing to behold here. Neck, wing, sideways vee. upper lip; long clash line on left reverse connecting wreath leaves; clash line on bridge of nose. There are awesome "spikes" protruding upward from Lady Liberty's mouth and chin; incuse n at neck; s in hair vee. There is a "crab cla...

Re: 1883-S
I do not see doubling anywhere else on the coin; not even slight doubling in letters below the S. I've attached another photo; it might be a little better. Although the new photo is a bit blurry, you can clearly see the thick doubling at the bottom of the S. On the left side of the S, when I tilt th...

1883-S
This 1883-S has strongly doubled mintmark left and bottom. Or is it "S/S"? No VAM listed for S/S.

1921-D Jet O
Found this 1921-D in my collection. With the naked eye this seems like any other Morgan dollar, but under a little magnification the coin lights up with die cracking. Fascinating too see all the VAM possibilities, and a bit overwhelming. I seem to have narrowed it down, though, thanks to the great w...

Re: 1924 Peace Dollar VAM-1D1 and 1B1
OK, I re-read Attribution 101 (very well done) and based on the color coded photo in the clashing section it would seem that clashed letter transfers can move within a small area; however, if the letter shape is in the die I would think the letter image should remain in the exact spot on each such c...

Re: 1924 Peace Dollar VAM-1D1 and 1B1
By contrast, here is another 1924 which places the (possible) E between the top two rays and a little lower than on the (possible) 1BB in the other photos. The diagonal bag mark through the second ray from the top is conveniently pointing to the base of what I believe might be the E. Might be diffic...

Gentlemen,
Here are the photos. Is that an E at tip of first ray at base of I and B? Wish I could provide better photography.

1889 Odd hole below lip
Found another 1889 in my collection with same amazing clashing. This one has an unusual hole with raised rim (almost like looking down into a volcano) between lower lip and chin. Not sure what it is. See last photo. I'm getting better at seeing letter transfers and can see n, t and M along with some...

Re: 1924 Peace Dollar VAM-1D1 and 1B1
For anyone following this, I mis-typed in my original inquiry. 1B1 should be 1BB.
