The customer pointed it out and I made it right.
No hard feelings.

Re: When striking pressure is too high

Thanks for sharing. You want to see a safety shield, you should see what they set up at the Universit...

Re: "out for delivery" (USPS)

I've had "Out for Delivery" go 14 days.
What pained me most is that it was an item I sold.

Re: Thoughts on this peace dollar!

I believe that this is a legitimate historical piece, unlike the current mint souvenirs. It doesn't matter what your political, ethnic, religious or racial affiliation is, this commemorates an important event. Good or bad. In my opinion it has far greater investment potential than, reproductions or ...

When consumers purchase labels instead of coins, merchants will supply labels instead of coins.
My opinion of the American consumer is so low that I believe Miley Cyrus labels would sell well.

Re: OT A Little

“Anything other than the gold and silver coins are not worth the time to collect in my opinion unless you are going for mint errors or some strange varieties.” For years I have gone to the local coin shop and sifted through his buckets of foreign coins. At 10 to 15 cents apiece I could pick out a ha...

1) Yes, lighting is key. With proper lighting, you can make a pinhole camera work. My choice is a couple goose neck LEDs. Tissue over the bulb diffuses the light. I also us the timer so that I am not touching the camera. IKEa.jpg 2) Attached directly to the camera is a Sigma Macro 50 mm. For the bel...

Re: Imaging my coins

Let me simply offer another choice for those that have a conventional digital camera. I've been using this for a few years and it has worked well for me. I start with an old Craftsman drill press, available at garage sales for no more than $15. DSCN6826A.jpg Find a 1/4" nut and bolt to secure the ca...

Sure would've been nice for them to use a special holder for both parts to be displayed together, which would also serve to keep them together. Peace Roy I wouldn't think it difficult. And wonder why two holders instead of one? I have coins with the de-lamination barely hanging on. If I separated t...
