Personally, I use the pop report on the SSDC listings as a yardstick. I never liked the ‘interest’ factor. For the V1 EDS, I’m guessing it’s pretty rare. Me, I collect die states of 1878 model year and have lots in my set few others would actively collect. Nice find, John! Mine is 63DPL.

My EDS was determined not to warrant any special listing back in 2007.

I picked up an upgrade to 1879-S V25. Bowed out of bidding on several. I had trackers on some just for grins and to see how a few of mine might stack up someday. For example the VF 30 14.18 sold for $8400 with juice which about made my eyeballs pop. Wow!

I have a 64+ PL already in my set, but this DMPL adds over 60 points to my SSDC 1878 sets. Quite stunning in hand. (V101)
