Re: Peace dollar VAM listings Q1 2022 - 1924 VAM 1CX
The new VAM-1CX page has been created, but there is missing information on it. Think the new Discovery Process has some leaks in it. How come the Discovery Letter is not included anymore in the DC post. Because of this, it sure is leading to incomplete new VAM pages.

I'll do it. Is there a DC letter that contains the verbiage?

The date, clashing around the neck, lips and the die markers all add up to VAM-61. It's a good bet that VAM-39/39A and VAM-61 are the same.

Re: What is the correct term?
Letting the dies talk to you = Die sequencing Die sequencing is the method used to list the facts of the obverse/reverse dies that appear on the coins. An example is the clashing that appears on the coin. The die sequence number increases when additional facts appear. An example is: die sequence #1 ...

Re: What is the correct term?
You have presented many facts. But when questioned about their relevance to the subject at hand, you repeat yourself and don't actually answer. I'd accuse you of circular argument, but that implies something more cohesive than anything you've presented. In all of this, I've asked repeatedly for an ...

Re: What is the correct term?
In this post your soft die unproven theory has been blown out of the water at least three times with FACTS. Which, you just ignore. Well, you known what? That does not change the facts. The front door is closed.

Re: What is the correct term?
Ok, I'll rethink the Barber letter. Seems like a detour off topic. How is a planchet issue in any way relevant to the 89 Philly issue under discussion? They both just blew the Morgan Dollar soft die theory out of the water. Wow! Even back them. I don't know how many times it will take for you to ge...

Re: What is the correct term?
I did not say that. Think about what Charles Barder proved and what Mr. Downing is saying. Without a doubt this proves that it was not a soft die. No question.

Re: What is the correct term?
I'll tell you what Charles Barder proved. He proved the dies were not soft. That's what the mintage of 264,000 and 405,000 prove.

Re: What is the correct term?
Oh my! Close the front door. I think you need to go back and reread Charles Barber’s letter. Start with page 2, right at the top. Charles Barber did not say the dies were soft. It was the branch Mints that said they were soft and what did Charles Barber do? He put one of the dies in question (1876 h...

Re: What is the correct term?
Boy, this just keeps getting better. I have given you every opportunity to list your facts for your unproven theory, but you can’t, because you have none. In addition, I have even provided a roadmap for you to use so you can see all the facts that you missed, but you ignore it. So, the question is w...

Re: What is the correct term?
Now that’s interesting [“The utter absurdity of all this meandering argument with no conclusion”]. You still don’t get that you missed a lot of facts. Even when someone lays at a road map for you to follow. You refuse to do it. For starters you ignore fact that the 1889-P VAM-23B Die sequence #3 & #...

Re: What is the correct term?
It’s not all about the 1889-P VAM-23A/VAM-23B obverse die. Part of it is, but part of it has to do with the reverse die. There is no doubt that the deepest clashed IN known in the Morgan Dollar series created a lot of die stress on the obverse die. Add two more hard clashing events (1 on die sequenc...
