I need help with my 1884 CC
I have an 1884 CC NGCDPL, that I thought may be a vam 3, with the die crack under the date and the inside or the first looking close. The top of the one looks different. Would the lines under the jaw, lips, back of the cap and the line running out, from the nose make any difference? Thanks, Bert (14...

First good find in years
I haven't found any good vams for a long long time and I was focused on completing my proof buffalo set. Well, I saw the shinny oval gouge, on the eagle's right wing and then I looked for the die crack from the rim down through the left U in PLURIBUS and bingo it was there, for an R-7 1904 O PCGSMS6...

Re: O-T 1918 D BUFFALO NICKEL LDS
Thank you everyone.
I just saw one more die crack on the forehead,
with what looks like a tiny break too.
I didn't have a nice MS 1918 D buffalo nickel and
now I do and I also get one, with some unique die
cracks and tiny breaks.

O-T 1918 D BUFFALO NICKEL LDS
I just received this nicely toned, well struck 1918 D PCGSMS63 buffalo nickel, with some
nice die breaks, that was minted by a a near terminal obv die.
On the reverse, on the edge by the buffalo's head, looks like a rim cud.
Enjoy, Bert

1896 VAM 20
I was looking through my coins and saw my 1896 NGCMS64
HOT 50 vam 20, with what is yet to be determined, what
caused the line through the 6, in the date.
I saw some more diagonal lines, on the obv and rev.
I see John discovered this vam, back in 2001.
Enjoy, Bert

Re: I need help with my 1904 O
I was looking at my 1904 O R-7 vam 37A and reliving the excitement of when I first found it and
completely missed the doubled profile and the two lines, behind the eagle's head.
Thank you again Lee, for your help, Bert

Re: I need help with my 1904 O
That is it, THANK YOU Lee.
Fore some reason,m I just couldn't find it, after I thought I looked at all of the 1904 O vams.
I'll glue the vam 37A on it this time, so it doesn't slip out.
Thank you again, Bert

I need help with my 1904 O
I need help with my 1904 O I had this 1904 O PCGSMS 63 attributed for years and the label, that I had inside the plastic cover fell out, with the vam on it. The main die marker was the tiny oval metal, on the eagle's Rt wing. I cant find a 1904 0 vam now, with that tiny oval metal. The die crack run...

Re: Wide Reeding hooray!
GREAT PICK Dennis,
Thank you for sharing.
I have been looking for one of one, with the wide reeding and now I'm learning what to look for.
I'm going to look through my 1921's for the gouges.
