Re: 1878 8 tailfeather vam9
What about the clash on viewers left wing, and the wild eye. Could it be a new variety ? Seems like i have all the markers except for the kidney bean feather There is a saying here at VAMworld. tditd = the die is the die As you stated, you know you don’t have “the kidney bean feather”. So you also ...

Sorry to tell you that your coin is not a VAM-9.
Take a look at VAM-14.2

I recently picked up another VAM-29.
I may end up selling one, so I would like to understand the going price.

Re: 1889 O with an X under Eagle
Thanks for the input....the mark is raised...not cut into the coin Just trying to learn Thanks al A deep cut does raise the metal. Then over time and wear the raised metal smooths out and looks like it was made that way. This is exactly what a cut looks like. You can also see the cut depression tha...

Re: 1887 morgan 7 over 6 help
There is no mm for this coin but, here is a close up of 1 to mark I know there is no mm on this coin. That is why I only asked for the date location and not the mm location. I’m trying to get you to focus on the basics. Date and mm locations are the starting points. So does the date location look l...

Re: 1887 morgan 7 over 6 help
Please show me a close up of the location of the 1 in the date in reference to the bust point. Your photos are not very clear, but it doesn't look like your date location is correct for VAM-2 (7 over 6).
Basics will help you with attribution.
First is always date and mm location.

Re: 1880 p vam 57 with multiple reverse clashing??
Nice pick
It doesn’t look anything like my 75A.
Would be nice for an expert like JB or JR to see both together for an expert analysis.
Congratulations

Re: 1892 S VAM?
Clear close up photos of the date and mm locations would help. But from what I see on your photos, my guess is that you have a VAM-10.

Re: 1880 p vam 57 with multiple reverse clashing??
It is interesting. It would be nice to have photos that showed detail better, but it does look like it may be a 25 obverse. I have not seen a 25 obverse with the exact reverse clashing that I'm seeing on your photos.

Re: 1880 p vam 57 with multiple reverse clashing??
I don’t remember my 75A looking like your coin.
My coin is confirmed as a 75A by JB @messydesk
I’ll pull my coin and check it against your coin.
You may have one that has clashed again.
I don’t really know what you have, but my first knee jerk thought was you might have a 58A.

Re: 1880 p vam 57 with multiple reverse clashing??
I don’t know your VW name.
If you are new here, welcome.
The obverse clash line is in the wrong location for VAM-57. VAM-57 obverse is the same as 24A.
Having said that, your coin clashing is interesting. It would be nice to see in hand.
Nice pick.
