I would crack them out and send in them in with my upgrade coin. Nine out of ten times it worked. Last one...

PCGS grades in

Homerun 1880 P sent in as a plain Jane, MS61. Got it off Ebay $70.00.
Grand slam, 1976 S Ike silver, graded AG3. Paid 5 bucks and carried it for several years in my pocket.
But I made a deal and have to give it to it's new owner free of charge.
Rodent is drooling over the silver Ike.

Well, almost everyone - somehow I got stuck with the foul and tacky bottle of cologne from the blackmail auction.
Keep it open on your desk and maybe it will evaporate, or ward off evil sprits.

What a load of junk, waste of time. You want to know what hurts. Carried this for a few years and tried it, ouch.

Re: Goals for 2019

Hmmm, well gee golly gosh, I think I'll try something new this year and see if I can track down a 1921-S VAM-29a once... wonder how that'll go? Outside of that I guess I'd like to have a little higher quantity of fresh picked acorns this year. Outside of VAMs what I'd like to do in 2019 is take mos...

Crap just sent a rare low grade gem in. Will be Jan, before I know if it grades.
Rodent, I have your 21S 29A, worn it slick so it will grade a zero, just like your set is worth.

Re: 78-P A1l reverse question

Die order is 14.20, 14.15 and 14.2. The 14.2 was last due to the gouge on reverse comes with and with out it if memory serves. As most 8 tail collectors know, the dot coins are mostly PL or DMPL if found in higher grades. The obverse die failed quickly and how many coins was scraped back into the me...

Have to remember how much time has passed. Look at the 1887 P 1B, prices fell like a rock. Still a rare bird, I never found one.

The good thing about low ball collecting is.

If you drop it, you can't hurt them. Sometimes it might make them better.
