I like it! I have been looking at bursting olives on some but not all 1878 and 1879 VAMs and think it is also a hubbing variation.

I have the same issue with many VAMs. The original discovery coins list some, but not all, points of interest. The CC below from the Page shows doubling and the lighting isn't best. As mentioned before your coin took a few hits too.
