Re: O/T POOR SILVER THE LONG AND SHORT STORY

Thank you Scott for sharing your views. I'm sure they are the product of many years of study and experience. But I don't understand all of it, and don't want to waste an opportunity for an education. What do you mean by, "transportation problems from mines to refiners..." Surely there is no shortage...

Re: Zero Inventory

I recall taking a course in Economics at the State University many years ago. The first half was devoted to philosophies of John Maynard Keynes. And the second half was devoted to the philosophies of Milton Freedman. One made perfect sense, and the other espoused everything contrary to my upbringing...

I would go 8 and 6. But I have very little experience on that end of the spectrum.
Love the challenge and the learning. Thanks for posting.

Re: Market, but not a B,S,T Question

I've noticed both a downturn in prices for the common coins, and an emergence of high end coins in the '04-O series. Similar events are taking place in the firearms and motorcycle markets. I suspect all collectable asset markets are affected by current political/social/financial events. Bullion and ...

Re: What is good about a digital camera>

I use an old camera. I tried one of the scope devices, and while the hardware was good, the software was terrible. The same is true with my phone, computer programs and nearly every other electronic device I come in contact with. It is my opinion that all too often, the user's manual was either writ...

Re: Who else is growing a Quarantine Beard?...

Not sure who all got word, but I was in the hospital for just over a week. Had to have a couple surgeries that saved my life. Working on recovery now from home as an outpatient. Since I will probably trim down my beard and cut my hair tomorrow, I thought I would post an updated shot. Lost a lot of ...

Re: OT: Of Metals, Markets and Pandemics

Thanks Morganman for giving some credence to my post. While there is still a lot of good information out there concerning the Bilderbergers (Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, Skull & Bones, etc.) much of it is being deleted. Facebook and YouTube have been especially active in this...

I disagree with some of the posts, but wholeheartedly support the main contention of the OP. Bankers are not your friend. Especially Central Bankers, And it may come to pass that the Merchant Banks will have to do their bidding. They have every reason to want a repeat of the Great Depression and the...

1887-O VAM-36A

I was just about to vet this coin for VAM verification when I noticed JR had added photos to the VAM page.
Thanks John.
And the tripled 8 is challenging to shoot through plastic.

Of Metals, Markets and Pandemics (And Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--.) I very much appreciate the members of VAMworld for their ability to entertain foreign views without attacking the presenter. Gold is an important asset to hold because countries are stealing it from one another. Did I hea...

Re: Just wondering.

Do what Dave told you to do. I did and it was one of the smartest things I've ever done. I had a bag full of old Pentax film camera stuff and wanted to move out of the dark ages. My system is K-x with bellows, copy lenses and a drill press stand. It works perfectly. I've never needed to up grade, no...
